The basic idea behind this project is to construct a fullsize sustainable dwelling to evaluvate its potential. The dwelling will use solar energy for its power needs. There are presently two teams, a construction team [independent project 265] and an electrical design team [ECE 290]. The construction team is responsible for getting a prototype constructed on the Eco-husky garden club site, while the electrical design team will develop the electrical system, including solar panels, voltage regulators, batteries, LED lighting and energy efficient appliances for an off grid sustainable dwelling. The construction team will also look into solar thermal for hot water and heating.
