- Worked with UN OHRLLS, USG, Chair LDC and Chair of the Tech Bank Governing Council to standup UN Technology Bank. As the Special Adviser to the United Nations Technology Bank, I have reviewed and cleared the Charter before its adoption by the United Nations General Assembly on December 23. The establishment of the Technology Bank a priority of the LDCs and confirmed in the 2015 Addis Ababa Action Agenda (AAAA) and in SDG 17, is the first expected target of the SDGs to be met.
- Represented UN Tech Bank and USG interest to World Bank, WIPO and WTO
- Program Development (Enhanced Collaboration between LDC (Least Developed Countries) and Developed Nations; Establishment of Academies of Sciences) – Technology Bank Programmes during the initial 3 years of operation [UN Office of the High Representative for Least Developed Countries, Land Locked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS)].The first three year programs include among others topics, STI&P reviews, establishment of academies of sciences, IP capacity building and technology transfer – to be funded by private foundations, and contributions made by developed and developing nations.
- Led extensive discussions with Directors of WIPO Green and WIPO LDC to identify appropriate partnership platforms for technology development and IP capacity building in LDCs – a relationship that could be beneficial when successful universities are aggressively promoting generation of intellectual property and building knowledge economy.
- Briefed USTR, USPTO, USAID, OSTP, and US DOS on the Charter and Programs of UN Tech Bank
- Briefed EU, Belgium, France, Germany, Canada, and Japan on status of UN Tech Bank
