We offer Bachelor of Science programs in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering (offered jointly with the CSE Department) and Engineering Physics (offered jointly with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences). We offer programs leading to Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Electrical Engineering and in Biomedical Engineering (interdisciplinary).

The faculty of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department are internationally recognized leaders in their fields and conduct $4M of sponsored research annually. Areas of active research within the department include adaptive signal processing, signal estimation and target tracking, manufacturing systems, wireless and optical communication, encryption, optoelectronics and photonics, nanotechnology, electronic materials and devices, VLSI design and fabrication, biomedical engineering, and digital systems.
