{"id":224,"date":"2018-10-17T20:23:05","date_gmt":"2018-10-17T20:23:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ee.uconn.edu\/anwar-research\/?page_id=224"},"modified":"2018-10-17T20:23:33","modified_gmt":"2018-10-17T20:23:33","slug":"united-nations","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ee.uconn.edu\/anwar-research\/united-nations\/","title":{"rendered":"UNITED\u00a0NATIONS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">UNITED\u00a0NATIONS<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>Special Adviser, United Nations Technology Bank [Operationalization of UN Tech Bank] (September 2016 \u2013 June 2017) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Program Development (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Enhanced Collaboration between LDCs and Developed Nations; Establishment of Academies of Sciences<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">) \u2013 Technology Bank Programs during the initial 3 years of operation \u00a0\u00a0[UN Office of the High Representative for Least Developed Countries, Land Locked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS)]<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Worked with UN OHRLLS, USG, Chair LDC and Chair of the Tech Bank Governing Council to standup UN Technology Bank. \u00a0As the Special Adviser to the United Nations Technology Bank, I have reviewed and cleared the Charter before its adoption by the United Nations General Assembly on December 23.
