Prospective Undergraduate Students

The Electrical and Computer Engineering department offers four-year Bachelor of Science programs in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering (offered jointly with the CSE Department) and Engineering Physics (offered jointly with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences).

Computer Engineering involves the design of hardware and software systems, including computers, embedded control systems for vehicles and aerospace systems, digital communication systems, digital signal processors (DSPs), and very large scale integrated circuits (VLSICs).

Electrical Engineering involves the design of circuits, devices, and systems, including computing systems, communication systems, control systems, optical systems, and power systems; digital and linear integrated circuits; transistors, lasers, sensors, and instruments.

Engineering Physics involves the development and design of materials, devices, and systems using physical phenomena, including semiconductors, superconductors, quantum and optical devices.
