Careers in Electrical and Computer Engineering
Cooperative education involves engineering experience at a nearby company for a one semester plus a summer. The student is paid, in addition to gaining priceless experience. There are more co-op positions available than students who want to take them; so this opportunity is readily available and we encourage everyone to take it. See Career Services for more information.
Internships are engineering positions taken during the summer months. Like co-ops, these are paid positions. The internship provides valuable experience, without taking a regular semester. However, the shorter time span limits the scope of projects that can be undertaken. See Career Services for more information.
